Assassin rift rogues really heavily on stealth, burst damage attacks and poisons. The weakness of this class however is if they can't burn/burst their target down quickly, defensive abilities are low so you can quickly get into some trouble!

Blade Dancer Builds
Blade dancer rift rogue class utilizes bladed/edged weapons. Blade dancers are able to burst a high amount of damage in a short period of time. Blade dancers have great survivability in being agile enough to dodge many incoming attacks.
Riftstalker (14) / Bladedancer (32) / Assassin (17) - zero downtime and a efficient kill speed
Bladedancer (27) / Nightblade (12) / Riftstalker (27) - AOE grinding and world PVP build, just missing healing debuff
Nightblade rogues are sort of a hybrid as they can utilize offensive spells and that do both death and fire damage. This is effective vs. cleric and warrior classes that have high amounts of armor. Nightblades have a large lack of stuns and CC's however.

Bard(51)/Nightblade(10)/Bladedancer(5) – Zerromi’s Optimal Raiding Support Build
The ranged rift rogue class. Able to dish out heavy damage from a distance with ranged guns and bows, but at the sacrifice of weak melee abilities. Using ranger a long with this soul allows use of a pet, sort of like the hunter class in World of Warcraft. If you're not keen on a pet, then Nightblade is a recommended 2nd soul substitute. A must is Assasination.
Assassin (7) / Marksman (51) / Ranger (8) - Maximized Physical damage
Nightblade (10) / Marksman (38) / Assassin (18) - A good PVE dps spec
A ranged class that can utilize bombs to do massive AoE damage and effective CC to mobs.
Bard (21) / Saboteur (34) / Nightblade (11) - Saboteur for CCing and DMG, Bard for Healing and Buffs, Nightblade for DMG
Very much like the world of warcraft hunter, this soul tree allows the use of a tamed beast or "pet". You rely on the pet to make up the damage from not speccing into ranged marksman. Pets are also great for tanking minibosses and small elites.
Marksman (18) / Ranger (31) / Nightblade (15) - A good DPS build by Shibata. There is nothing duplicated and you are coming up the MM tree and Nightblade tree just far enough to get all the additional damage bonuses.
This is a soul tree gives rogues plane based abilities that can be used defensively or offensively. This spec can is the lone tanking tree available to a rogue and they actually do make good tanks. This tree does not have any healing abilities but it does have very high damage mitigation.
Gives the rogue plane based abilities that can be both offensive and defensive. This is particularly good for tanking on your own. While not featuring any healing abilities the damage is easily migrated.
Riftstalker (51) / Bard (7) / Bladedancer (8) - Rogue tanking build with high health and avoidance.
Riftstalker (36) / Bard (8) / Bladedancer (22) - Rogue tanking build with max avoidance.
Riftstalker (51) / Bard (7) / Ranger (8) - Rogue tanking build with max health.
Bladedancer (27) / Nightblade (12) / Riftstalker (27) - AOE grinding and world PVP build, the only tools it's missing is that healing debuff
